🠈 El Paso County 🠊
El Paso County is, by population, the second largest county in Colorado with a reported population of 663,519 in 2014.
The county is named for Ute Pass which became an important route for prospectors in the Pikes Peak Gold Rush of 1861.
El Paso became one of the original 17 counties created in 1861 with its county seat in the mining town of Old Colorado City.
